I made some additions to the home page. I added the block that is below this one which shows news topics and links to them, some error coin shop item specials and some forum topic links. I added some more error coin pictures to the site. Please visit and sign up on the error coin forum. Post some topics of discussion and lets get this website growing. Traffic on the website has increased considerably, except that no one is signing up at the forum. Come out of the shadows and join! The coin shop has been tweaked around as well. If you pay with a credit card, when on the make payment page, please click the link there to see how to process the card. It's real simple but some people have overlooked it and have had stumbled a bit. Also, as always, your suggestions, content, pictures and anything you can throw at me is always welcomed! Thank you!

Clipped Planchet Error
This error happens when the planchet is improperly punched from the planchet strip sheet. What happens is that the sheet from where the blanks are punched is fed incorrectly into the punch machine. This occurs when the sheet is not fed properlyinto the punch press, then blanks will be punched overlapping holes where a blank was already punched. Thus you get imcompletely planchets. You can have curved clips, straight clips, elliptical clips, bowtie clips, combination clips, and multiple clips. The way to determine a genuine clipped planchet is to look to the opposite end of the clip area. There will an area there of of subtle weakness known as the Blakesley effect. This effect is not present on all genuine clipped planchets. Another way to determine a genuine clip to look for the metal to flow towards the clip area.
