Lamination Error
A lamination error is a defect consisting of a piece of the planchet separating from the rest due to impurities or internal stresses within the planchet. Inpurities consist of air bubbles, dirt, grease, etc can be trapped in the metal and over time these impurities causethe metal to detach and lift up from the rest of the coin.
