Multiple Strike Strike Error
When five cent coins are done being struck there is a feeder that is supposed to eject the finished coin out of the collar and into a coin chute. Sometimes this malfunctions and the nickel coin is not ejected properly and is left there to be struck again. A multiple strike error is when a coin is struck 2 or more times. During the process of restriking the nickel coin, it can cause several errors other than just the multiple strike error. On very rare occasions it is possible for the five cent coin to be ejected improperly and land back as flipped so you will end with multiple strikes, a normal one and the multiple strikes being of the reverse on obverse side and vise versa. Really neat error and these carry a moderate premium.
